First of all, we would like to make it clear that AnonGram is deeply committed to privacy and enhanced anonymity. Therefore, operating entirely on the public internet would disasterous.

Although there are not perfect solutions for such cases, a multi-layered approach is always advised. We are strong advocators of the TOR network and although TOR is not impenetrable, when combined with the right security controls, it becomes an excellent tool for anonymity and privacy. TOR routing significantly complicates the tracing of users' internet activities.

The AnonGram infrastructure, including APIs (messaging, profiles, media etc), databases, and so forth, is hosted and operates within the TOR network, spread over multiple instances and nodes for improved availability.

This approach grants our users heightened confidentiality regarding their actions and data.
